Champagne verlaagt slechte cholesterol

 

 

Champagne helpt om je slechte cholesterol te verlagen en beroerten te voorkomen. Verder blijkt uit onderzoek dat het even gezond is als rode wijn om je risico op hartziekten te verminderen.

Slagaderverkalking
De onderzoekers gaven gezonde patiënten een glas champagne van 375 ml, ze hielden hun cholesterol ervoor en erna in de gaten. Daaruit bleek dat champagne een positieve invloed heeft op de slechte cholesterol. Net als rode wijn bevat deze drank fenolen, een bestanddeel dat dezelfde werking als antioxidanten heeft. Fenolen zouden helpen te voorkomen dat aders verstopt raken met aanslag veroorzaakt door slechte  cholesterol. Dit verlaagt het risico op arteriosclerose of slagaderverkalking, hierbij verharden je aders en worden ze nauwer, waardoor de bloedtoevoer wordt afgesneden. Deze aandoening verhoogt je risico op hartziekten en beroerten aanzienlijk.
